Just had my Netflix account hijacked

Got an e-mail at 4:28 saying my password and e-mail addy on my account had been changed. Called customer service and had it all back within 10 minutes.
Changed my password but Netflix only allows you to use 10 characters for your password. I have never heard of a company limiting you on password length. Seems like it sort of defeats the purpose of making a really strong password.
Just a heads up to anyone to make sure their security and account info is up to date in case you have to get your account back like I did.

That's funny I changed my password around that time because I noticed someone had been watching Gossip Girl earlier today.

Yea you can never be too safe. I had another account hijacked a month back for some video game stuff. I got it back too. It's just a hassle to deal with.
I did get the guys e-mail who hijacked my Netflix. Thinking about e-mailing him and telling him nice try but not sure if that would motivate him more to try again or try some of my other accounts.

You know in this instance and when my Origin account was hijacked both times I would have not known for days.
The last time I watched something on Netflix was a month ago and that Origin account I hadn't used in 2 months before it was hacked.
The only reason I knew the account was hijacked both times is because they changed the account e-mail and password prompting an e-mail to be sent to me letting me know of the changes.
They could have just kept logging in and using both accounts but getting greedy cost them from having free access.

I thought about it but not sure if Chicken would get pissed off.
I also have the full name of the guy who hijackd my Origin account. He was dumb enough to put it into the account info. I googled him and he post all over some hacker forums on the net.

I suspect they do this because of all the devices they support that don't support keyboards, and for the ones that do, the difficulty of typing in long, strong passwords correctly.
I started off using 63 character wifi passwords drawing from every possible symbol, because it was just a matter of copying and pasting from Keepass to my router's web config page, so why not. Then I got an iPod Touch. Oops. Then I got an Apple TV. Infinite oops. Game over.

Yea as long as they don't change the plan or e-mail I would never notice. First time I logged onto to actually look at movies now. I usually just log on to watch a movie and off, never look at previously viewed
