You can make a Zeppelin album, but only 10 songs to take to a deserted island...

Which probably means another 20-25 are going to be missed badly. If I had to, here's how I would go:

1. In The Evening
2. Whole Lotta Love
3. Carouselambra
4. Nobody's fault But Mine
5. Hey What Can I Do
6. Fool in the Rain
7. The Rover
8. Houses of the Holy
9. Dancing Days
10. When the Levee Breaks

I left off a good many because Eagle 98.1 and Pandora, mixed with hearing them for 30 years has allowed me to dismiss Stairway, Over the Hills and Far Away, Goin to California, Kashmir, Black Dog, Ramble On, etc. I could do just as sufficient by humming them. Nonetheless, some of those are great tunes. I would definitely miss the 11-20 I had to leave off like Southside Suarez and Misty Mountain Hop, just b/c they're different. Then, I would not care if I ever heard All of My Love, Four Sticks, or Rock 'N Roll ever again.

My ten are mostly Zep songs I didn't discover until later in my life. What ten would you pick and why?

I think you could just spit 10 songs of theirs onto a list and it would be ok.

This thread has had me listening to Zep all day at work.

I started a similar thread to this a while back, but I made it to where you can have an entire album, even greatest hits packages. That was difficult in itself, this is even harder. 10?!

Next time I should do 5 and watch everyone freak.

A greatest hits would be too easy. People would be okay leaving off "battle of Evermore" and "Thank You" and live. 10 is a nice round number that forces you, here, to eliminate more good than you actually get to keep...which will, in turn, make you really think about which Zep songs you truly love the most.

Good list minus Four Sticks...IMO, the most pointless LZ song ever created.

This is fricking hard, so I'll throw out the initial 10 that come to mind:

Traveling Riverside Blues
The Crunge
Babe I'm Gonna Leave You
Bring it on Home
Bron-Y-Aur Stomp
Gallows Pole
When the Levee Breaks
Night Flight
In the Light
In my Time of Dying
