What's some of the best classical music you've ever heard?

Classical music takes me to a time and place or storyline and just helps me visualize amazing things. It is my drug. Here's what I think can't be topped:

1812 Overture - Tchaikovsky

Heaven and Hell - Vangelis

Rhapsody in Blue - Gershwin

Each of these makes me visualize amazing little movie scenes. These scenes are so vivid they are almost like music videos. This gave me the idea of actually having Classical Music Videos (music videos set to classical music). I made a thread about it on the M/TV Board:

Danse Macabre--Camille Saint-Saens

Bolero--Maurice Ravel I can never not think of Bo Derek's perfect titties bouncing while she runs on the beach when I hear this tune.

Emma Kirkby (Soprano) sings "Alleluia" of Mozart's Exsultate Jubilate

Both great choices. I played both of those in HS marching band.

Holst's whole "The Planets" work is awesome.

Another I like:

Classical music is amazing. Good posts!

OK, now for a little something off of normal but entirely wonderful:

The Healing - Lady in the Water soundtrack - J Newton-Howard

The Great Eatlon - Lady in the Water soundtrack - J Newton-Howard

(need to be listened to together)

This is one of those soundtracks that just blow you away.
