Is there any specific method that I need to be using to develop my young minor leaguers?

I've tried promoting them to the MLB club to get them experience and then move them back down but nothing seems to be working.

Does anybody have a secret?

Just substitute "post" for "song".

And I guess "bruce" for "Petey".

Why? Because I don't play the same games that you play?

I'm looking for help...not smartass comments.

I'm not suggesting chase him down, but I know AJF has mentioned playing this before. Only person I'm aware of.

Sorry broski, I only play the seasons with updated rosters, not RTTS. Is RTTS what you're talking about?

I believe The Show has potential ratings don't they? Obviously some guys are going to progress faster. My best guess is to keep monitoring your players. Pay attention to their hot/cold streaks. When they are hot and hitting/pitching well, promote them. If when you promote them, you see they hit a cold streak, bench them for a game or two. If they come back and still hit cold, send them back down.

Do not listen to this guy

Don't promote players for any reason other than you want them because they help your MLB club. You waste their minor league options doing so, and will actually slow their progress With lack of playing time

The short answer is it takes time. I had a A prospect as a rookie, and in his 3rd year was finally good enough to come to my MLB club. Other guys take longer.

I guess I didn't specify...Promote/Demote them within the minor leagues. If a player is 19, more than likely it will be 2-3 seasons before he is fully ready to come up and be a decent player. You can't just promote a guy from Single A all the way up to MLB.
