Clemson losing yesterday hurts VT's chances IMHO.

IYHO? How it is even an opinion? You stated the obvious and avoided giving an opinion on the OP's question.

I think the biggest factor with VT is how the ACC plays this weekend. They have 4 games against SEC opponents. If they win all 4 then I think they have a great shot - remember they play in a Championship game vs Clemson. (if they beat UVA)

VT will be conference champions and would have beaten two ranked teams.

No.

Also, an LSU v VT bcs game would get the worst TV ratings in history.

I think VA Tech loses to UVA this weekend and doesn't even make it to the ACC Championship. Really, they're not that good.

They may. VT will get a very good schedule bump from the extra game over a Top 15 team. It may also cause enough voters to move them ahead of Bama to affect the rankings.

Are you this fricking stupid? Or do you not know a thing about college football?

Allow me to explain it to you idiot. It's likely VT will play Clemson in the ACCCG. If Clemson had won yesterday then VT wining the championship game could vault them into the BCSCG picture. Clemson losing hurts those chances.

Understand now, moron?

This is the one team I sure overlooked.
IF VT wins out, it gives the voters a team to put in over Bama, well thats if you assume the voters don't want a rematch.

Going to be interesting what they do if LSU wins out and they have to chose between 11-1 Bama and 12-1 Va Tech?? Last time we had this they argued Michigan didn't deserve another shot because Florida had won their conference and had to play a conference championship game? If they go the other way this time then these megamillion dollar championship games now mean less and can only really hurt you? Conference champions means nothing anymore?

Just FYI, I believe Bama is the #2 team and if you really want to match 1 & 2 then it's LSU / Bama? Just think it's funny how the arguement is changing now so suit their agenda.

Actually Wilfont provided the best reason why VT might not have the computer votes to make it to the BCSCG.

You were just too dunb to understand.

Right, this is extremely obvious. Which is why it was so funny that you said "IMHO". Because it is a fact and you didn't even give an opinion on the topic.

It's like if the OP asked " Do you think LSU wins the BCS this year"
and you responded with
"Losing the game wouldn't help"

I was commenting because it made me lol. Dont be so angry.

i dont see how you would not take the highest rated conference champions in the BCS over some team that finishes second in their division. BAMA far and away is the best opponent, will draw the most revenue, and will be the easiest to talk up. However, if voters or computer or the demi-gods of football choose Bama over a conference champ VT, it will be the end of the BCS!

Th goal should be to take the two best football teams, period.

That's should be the only criteria. If the ACC champ is better than the SEC western division runner up then take the ACC champ. If they're not deemed better than it would be a travesty to select them over a superior team.

regardless of the "goal", the two best teams already played. The game is over and the winner was clear.
I want LSU to beat Bama as much as anyone again but know that playing them again is simply a mute point.
I am one to believe that this team(LSU) has passed that gauntlet, has earned the right to be undefeated , and doesnt need to prove anything again.
