Anyone use the Zebco Bullet reel? Is it worth the 100 bucks for a closed face reel?

When I was a kid a used a 33xbl or something like that. It was a souped up 33. I went fishing with local pro one day. I remember him saying “you are one of most accurate casters I have ever fished with. I don’t know how you are doing that with that baitcaster. I was palming it and controlled the line flow and drop With my fingers. A had tons of open faced reels but this was before backlash control and when the wind got over 15 mph they sucked. But I could still drop my bait with 6 inches of target with my 33. I fished every day during summers and break and no one caught any more fish than I did.
So everyone can go to hell for dissing closed face reels etc. that 14 year old boy with his 33xbl and 6 1/2 foot Berkeley lighting rod could hang with anyone on here bass fishing anywhere. I out fished two guys that had tv shows. I wanted to be pro bass fishermen.
It’s about time on the water and dedication not ducking gear. I have 100 rods and reels now a dozen Calcutta rigs, some custom rigs way over a grand and my 14 year old Self with that 33 would fish circles around me.
Use whatever you are comfortable with. Old black guys with beat up rigs typically catch more fish than anyone.

I have a hard time paying more than $20 for one.

I haven't used one but I would never spend $100 for a zebco anything.

When my grandkids come to my camp on Toledo Bend I got 6 zebco omega spincast reels that are about 7 yrs old for them to use. I find they hold up better than the newer zebco 33’s that would break if you looked at them wrong.
