i caught one very close to a pound on a fluke once. thought it was a bass til i pulled it out the water.

my dad bought one of those make your own spinner bait kits awhile back...we go fishing, he is talking all kinds of shite about how many fish he is going to catch of his custom spinnerbait....first cast that bastard goes flying....I about fell in the water laughing

dying laughing right now at the thought of baits flying after line snaps.

i don't really have a go to but i make sure i have 3 colors of soft plastics in my boat for different water conditions, junebug, blue sapphire, and watermelon candy red...i probably pitch a craw the most (speedcraw), senkos, brushhogs, tubes, jigs

Yea but there's the whole "downshift can't catch fish" factor that you don't have to deal with.
