I was mowing around my pond today because my 14 year old was going to have a camp out with a couple of buddies. Decided to look under my aluminum boat. Some of the snakes are at the back of the boat in the shadow and didn't show up but there were six of them. I kept thinking of those kids getting at the front of the boat and pushing it into the water and they would have walked right through them.

And that's why you always check under shite laying in your hard. Pirogue, stacked wood, jon boat, gate to trailer, pallets, bricks, whatever you have thrown back there

I tell you what, it is hard to hold a boat up and dig a cell phone out of your pocket to take pictures with snakes around your ankles.

Burn your whole property. Sell it. Move to Ireland.

I almost stepped on this fella that was coiled up under the boat when we flipped it over one morning to go fishing. We planned on going before daylight but luckily I overslept. I never would've seen him if I hadn't.

I actually went back to my house and got a shotgun. Picked the boat up again held the shotgun with one hand and almost pulled the trigger. I then thought about how I was fixin to shoot a scattergun into an aluminum boat held at a forty five degree angle. While I was trying to calculate if I was going to end up with more pellets in me than the snakes, they all crawled off into the water without a shot fired.

Ugh how anticlimactic. We had a similar situation at our camp. Now the only time they rattle is when the heater below them in the camp is on 3 burners.

That's a snake-catcher's dream. My best was 3 watersnakes in 1 grab. Over 30 years ago and I remember it like it was yesterday.
