Are these guns crap, or will they get the job done on a budget?

trying to figure out what to blow a few hundred bucks in academy gift cards on.

I don't have any experience with them in particular, but I'd say if you will just bird hunt with it once or twice a year it will be ok. If you plan to shoot sporting clays every weekend, then I wouldn't touch it.

I bought a Stevens O/U once because I knew a guy that worked for Savage, and that pos broke on me 3 or 4 times. Gave it to my dad, who shoots it maybe once every 4 months, and he hasn't had any problems.

Those Yildiz may be better than the Stevens though.

definitely not going to be using it every weekend. just something that would be fun to break out a few times a year

the fit and finish leaves A LOT to be desired. they do work but will not hold up to extensive high volume shooting.
as a budget-gun, sure, why not

I can't speak for others, but I bought mine 4 years ago. I have probably put 6 to seven cases of dove rounds through it without a single problem. I love the gun. I would probably stay away from the semi auto A-71. Have heard of a few issues with that model. Don't get me wrong, it's not a Citori, but it's not going to set you back $1400 either.

I have a 20 gauge model with about 5-6 cases on the clock, no issues at all.

We used to use them for our kids shooting team. They were pretty indestructible. Lots of rounds through them and lots of abuse. When I stopped coaching they had nine years of service and were still going boom. They ain't pretty but they work.

Wife hit me with a $500 gift card from Academy a few years ago and that's what I got... Have no problem with it, not the greatest finish on the stock and forearm, but the gun gets the job done... Ejectors work just as nice as any other O/U...

Just replace the stock choke tubes with the Yildiz stainless tubes....
