Has anyone see these? I’ve only noticed them when headed northbound. Just curious what they’re there for.

Those are old speckled trout and redfish tracking systems the La. DWLF put into place until JBE defunded the program and gave it to the CCA. The CCA's takeover has been complete by totally making the dysfunctional La. DWLF look functional which is something not easy to do. Now they are nothing more than navigational hazards to thanks to Rad and the other idiots at the CCA.

JBE took out Melancon bc he went after the fraud and collusion going on between CCA and DWLF. Both got a ton kf BP money through the BP settlement and miss spent it. Some stuff went missing (motors , rods , reels, etc) other money designated for research through CCA couldn’t be accounted for. The average citizen , let alone the average outdoorsman that is not a CCA member, would be appalled. When budget cuts occurred , the responsibility for the reefs transferred to CCA. JBE’s crony who now runs DWLF took care of that for him. BTW, the guys in CCA who benefited the most from the BP money ——take a gues what they all do for a living.

Markers that give clues to secret unmarked reefs built for CCA members with BP money.

Some limestone but most are concrete reef balls.

Used to catch some stud trout on the artificial reefs on the south shore growing up.
