Xtrema 2 vs. SBE II

SBE II (Black Synthetic)= 1099.00 @ Academy
Xtrema 2 (Black Synthetic)= 1199.00 @ Dicks
Talk to me people.
As a background, I've been shooting an M1 Super 90 Montefeltro since 1995 with exactly zero problems. So I'm obviouslly a Benelli guy...
I just want a 3.5 inch semi auto now.

I prefer the low maintenance of a gas operated gun, but there are pros and cons to both. Google it, this argument gets religious with some people.
I own an Extrema & Extrema 2, very few problems between the two even with my negligent cleaning.

I love my X2, but get the one that fits you best, they are both fine guns.

To me I prefer the Xtrema 2. I find it to be the best fitting and smoothest operating out of all the top tier hunting guns. It all comes down to how the gun fits you, when your dealing with Autos in the 1k-1500 range they all are going to shoot extremely well. I find that the forearm on the SBE's is to skinny and narrow. But like I said it all depends on which is more to YOU.

That's a problem. I've shouldered both of them many times and shot both of them hunting a few times in the blind just swapping with a blind partner who thinks my "4 shot" super 90 is cool. I like them both...
The rubber grips on the X2 concern me as they seem like they could wear or peel after a while.
I guess what I'm really asking is are those priced right? And if the X2 is worth the extra 100.00.
Also, I looked at a limited edition SBE II in Mossy Oak duck blind camo that is nice looking compared to the max 4 on most. The guy said there were only 1500 made... it cost 1599.00 which seems a little ridiculous IMHO.

Its really personal preference. I LOVE beretta. I shot the new A400 extreme this weekend. Hands down the baddest fricking shotgun I have ever handled.

Looked at it too. Love the feel, but like the SBE II in Mossy Oak Duck Blind... 1599.00 is a little steep.
BTW this is gonna be a hunting gun. I go a lot. I'd hate to ding a brand new beautiful walnut stock on the A400.

I bought mine the second year they were on the market and my grips are still fine. As far as price goes, it is fair for what you are getting. This is the best water fowling gun I have ever owned and trust me when I say that I am very hard on guns.

The trigger guard turned me off instantly.

Well then, SBEII it is!

From what I've heard, the new Extreme has yet to disappoint (albeit they're still new). I've looked at them, but I prefer shooting an over and under which is why I'm considering the Browning Cynergy in duck blind synthetic.
I would also take a look at Remington's Versa Max

That's where I'm leaning... I just need someone to tell me everything will be ok. (BTW the guy at Dick's with the X2 tried to tell me about the SBE II, "They just break".

No offense about the supervinci, I saw you shoot one from your pics. It's just that the trigger guard was the first thing I noticed, and not in a good way when I handled one. I've heard nothing bad about them...

Those and the Browning Maxxus just don't seem to be in the same leauge as the Berretas and Benellis although their price tag suggest they do. Just my opinion...

No offense taken. Some people like the look, but more people hate it.

A400
I would never own a wood stock either man. I'm telling you dude, if you could manage to spend 1500, it's well worth it. 3.5 inch shells feel like dove loads. Of course if it you can't afford, trust me I understand

I looked at A400's two different places both with wood stocks. I just assumed they didn't offer a "duck" version.
Probably because the assholes selling them only had wood ones on hand and didn't wanna say anything...

Beretta, Benelli, Browning and Remington all make a great autoloader. As aforementioned, when you're paying over 1K for a shotgun it really comes down to personal pref. I can't say that I have any experience with the Winchester SX's at all, but I have heard some good things about them as well.
