One big problem though.
We fish the back islands behind Grand Isle out of Leeville.
Out of probably 200 trout caught yesterday only 8 were over 13". All on artificial. Most were between 11.5 and right under 13". Give them about a month and they should be good 2 go. That warm water coming in from the Gulf with the north wind had them fired up. 12 inch trout we're hitting so hard you could swear you had a 15" trout on.
If you have kids and you want to catch a lot of fish it is perfect.

Fished in Baptiste bay on Wednesday. Seen much of the same. Had to move around to find them but when they turned on, the bite was fun. Think we had 10 keepers and one red

Caught 30 in like a hour, 17-19 inches
One weird thing about this year for me so far is I’ve still caught big ones further north. I’ve been limited to that due to the wind. But they are on the beach now

Lots of great guide reports the last few days. Some finishing by 6:45. We’re going next weekend and the freakin tide is gonna be pretty slack.

Fished with a guide out of Leeville Saturday morning.
We were nearly limited out by 9:00am.
Great fishing.

Low in gulf the end of next week. Even with a slack tide wind should move water around.

5 man Saturday morning. Only 2 or so toss backs. Shrimp and croaker, but mostly croaker. Off Timbalier but not on the beach.
Gotta find that clear water. Tried off Last Island and the water wasn’t as good.

Fished Friday - Launched at Sand Dollar. Fished 4 bayou area. Caught a solid box of trout on Artificial. Big fish were located on structures. The smaller school trout were under birds. The schools didn't have any 13" trout. The structures held beautiful fish.

If you couldn’t catch fish last weekend, just stop fishing.

Caught over 150 on Saturday. That might have been the best trout trip of my life for size and numbers.
