This guy lived (alone) on the frozen lake in front of the Mendenhall Glacier for years. You could ski several feet from him. He would play with dogs and one time picked up a pug, carried it a few feet and dropped it.

after looking up the boerboel, I think it wins. It has a wider center of gravity, jaws are stronger for clamping (then throw around and rip something), and is heavier.

A female was killed by a car on the spur road leading to the glacier, it was probably his mate. He lived there alone for about 8 years or so until someone shot him.

Yeah, some people don't have the same appreciation of nature and the outdoors as we do. The guy was from Pennsylvania and hunting with a local guide. Both avoided any jail time though.

My parents neighborhood had a pack of "domesticated" wolves roam around. I think they are gone but there use to be a lot of dead deer around.

Obviously, if it was 2 on 1 my Great Pyrenees would be fricked. But if it was me walking w ole Murphy and three other husky type dogs, the wolf does not mess with us.
