Wilson Combat 1911 Vs. Nighthawk custom 1911

I'm going to purchase one or the other. I've shot both, but the Nighthawk trigger is just plain UNREAL to shoot. Can anyone with more experience shed some light on their experiences with either of these(good or Bad), to help me make a decision.

They're what and what. Handled plenty of both and the fit and finish is pretty comparable across the board
If you really want something special, get a Volkmann. Holy grail of 1911s for me.

Turnbull actually does the case hardening for Volkmann (unless something has changed recently)
OP, you can call Volkmann and you'll probably end up talking to him personally. It's a 1 man show there, so youll have to wait a long time, but hes the best.
You ask a group of 1911 connoisseurs what to get and they'll say Nighthawk, WC, Cabot, LB, etc. You ask a group of gunsmiths what to get and they'll all say Volkmann

Stan Chen or Volkmann is the way to go. Stan has an insane waitlist to get on the waitlist right now but his stuff is amazing.

I’ve owned a 1911 by every semi custom maker out there. That being said WC customer service is second to none. If I could only own one it would be a WC.

Is the Nighthawk guy an former employee of WC?
Posted on 9/28/20 at 10:02 pm to bbvdd
Yes NHC was started by former WC employees about 20 yrs ago in Berryville,AR.

36-48 month lead time is a no no.
