Why aren't the specks biting well in GI

I've been in grand isle all week and the most specks we caught were on Thursday with six people in the boat and we only caught 55 keepers. We've caught many more in past years during this time of year, does anyone else feel like it had something to do with the weather being colder than past years?

The brown shrimp were a little behind this year so the speck action is a little behind as well.

Talked to someone with a camp at Pointe Fourchon that said he spanked the specs yesterday morning on the beach.

We ain't catching either. Tons of boats out and doesn't seem like anyone is catching today.

Was in GI Wednesday and Thursday and had 6 person limits by 8:30. Within 3 miles of the landing.

Caught over 100 but only kept 45, all of them were 12-14 inches, we did better than most of the guides we talked to out of Dularge
