Friday - Finished with 17 nice specks south of houma. Didn't put the first keeper in the boat until 12:30. Had to look hard for clean water. Finished the day fighting the monsters.

Saturday - Dirty water and slow bite had everything screwed up in Hopedale area. Finished with 6 trout and a slot red.

But, the beer was cold and the weather was nice so it made for a good time

Friday: Caught 3 dozen crabs in PAC with the Pops. Worked for them, but man they were all pretty.

Saturday: The old man said he wanted to go fishing so I happily agreed to go down to GI with him. Water was extremely dirty so we ran out to the first set of rigs. Had a blast catching sheepshead for the rest of the afternoon.

Good weekend overall
(Would post pics but I have no idea how)

Our crew hit 11 Red Snapper, 10 keepers, 1 bull red, lost another hog of a Red. There are alot of spots in the 9 mile limits, these things are feeding on anything everywhere.

Are y'all catching in the bays and lakes or in the canals? I haven't fished there before and wondering if a surface drive is fine or if I need a bigger boat?

I take my 16 foot boat to the platforms in lake Raccourci and off the beaches on calm days, you're fine. I haven't hit a spot yet that didn't have trout, even random places I've never fished before. Bigger fish are further south and out.
