When do AR availabilities bounce back?

I’m assuming we don’t see anything significant until after the election.

You can get ARs just fine. Ammo is the problem. 1+ year before any semblance of normalcy best case

dealers receive product constantly, keep an eye out, know what you want, then buy it as quick as possible. Both local firearms stores in my area receive ARs everyday, and they are usually gone by the end of that day
And don't bother with big box stores

Gotta have fuel to feed the machine.
Sadly, all of mine were tragically lost in a boat accident.

I posted this in another thread, and it applies here. I was in Academy a week ago, and they had a worker putting out boxes of 9mm ammo. Just regular 50 round boxes of 115 grn. FMJ Blazer Brass training ammo. $11.99 a box. But you were limited to 3 boxes at a time. So I picked up 3 boxes and continued shopping (Fishing stuff). About 10 minutes later, I passed by that same aisle, and there were about 10 guys in line, picking up 3 boxes just as fast as the guy was putting them out. So far, buying ammo online is this way to go. Availability is still limited, but your chances of finding what you want are much higher than walking into a store and picking some boxes off a shelf. I usually turn my nose up at steel or aluminum cased ammo, but have purchased more than a few boxes of the stuff lately just out of sheer impulse.

I always think I have enough ammo. I'll periodically stock up and then situations like now pop up and I realize I don't have "enough". In reality, I have plenty, I just always want more.
