I also like to challenge opinions, so that ALL available information and opinions are presented. Apparently this is not the case with you.
Work on posting even less.

But ammo is quite expensive and recoil is a bit more stout
The 10 mm hype is crazy IMO. I've shot a lot of different loads thru my g20 sf last week and all were VERY manageable. My .45 is snappier than the 10mm IMO. I was shooting TN Cartridge co 180 gr reloads, underwood 180gr XTP, and underwood 200gr XTP and they were all very very manageable. If you are an experienced shooter you can handle the 10mm. Something tells me the FBI's choice of gun had something to do with the 10mm being phased out.
For a novice shooter a 9mm is always a great option. Low recoil and it is an effective round. Plus you can train on it a little cheaper than the .45 or 10mm

I disagree and think we all need to have thicker skin. Buck_Rogers obviously knows what he is talking about and I learn a great deal from his postings. I also went back and looked through all of his old posts and he is telling the truth in that he only discusses subjects he is an expert on. He knows his ballistics and his weapons.

I will only say this once so pay close attention...
I shot a Glock 20 also and the 10mm is a badass round.
Man, I felt like I was at AA getting that off my chest... I can't believe I shot a Glock.
The recoil was manageable and it was pretty awesome hearing those rounds crack downrange like a rifle round. The owner let me shoot some Hornady XTPs and they were HOT.
I really want a Kimber Eclipse 10mm down the round. That round is pretty potent.

I don't like having conversations with an a-hole. Plain and simple.
I can always learn new things but to be talked down to is bullshite. If I don't want to put up with it, I won't talk to him. Easy as that.

I understand that as many people on this very board have talk down to me, the .243 debate as an example. I don't get upset by it I just realize that is the way many people communicate on the internet. Many of them, even though they were a-holes, were a wealth of information and to ignore them would have resulted in me cheating myself out of knowledge so I sucked it up and listened. I don't care what anyone says to me on here as it is just a digital piece of paper.

Solid point...
Well spoken.

Who in the hell are you, that you think you can make bogus statements and not have any means to back them up, other than pulling little bits of information that suits your needs. Everything I post, I can back up. You on the other hand resort to name calling like a 14 year old girl.

I think your a-hole vibe came through in the primers for submachine gun thread. No one is saying you're wrong. Just that you present your information in a condescending tone.

The Glock's firing system is a flaw
Please back that up with something other than your opinion. Thanks in advance.
Posted on 8/20/13 at 12:19 pm to CptRusty
quote:Compared to a 1911's firing system, it is a flaw. In a 1911 firing system, you can have a crisp 4-5 pound trigger pull with a 20+ pound hammer spring. With a striker fired system like the Glock, if you want a 5 pound trigger pull, then you can only have a 5 pound spring pushing that firing pin. In other words, your desired trigger pull weight also has an adverse effect on how hard your firing pin will strike the primer. So, unless you want a 20 pound trigger pull on a Glock, you will never reach the full reliability of a 1911's firing system.
Please back that up with something other than your opinion. Thanks in advance.
