Wish I could tell you how to solve the problem. I solved it by buying a new rifle and not feeding it anything other than fmj. For a long time I fed her nothing but competition .223 fmj but its expensive and I couldnt tell the difference between it and regular .223. First was a bushmaster second was a rock river. Well over 2k rounds in the rock river and not a single malfunction.

Bad batch of ammo.
I've fired and overseen the firing of at least 3 million rounds of .223 in my lifetime and I've never seen that many rounds in a row have that happen...and I've dealt with some really shitty and worn out weapons.
Definitely let the manufacturer know, even if you get nothing for it...just the right thing to do.

I agree. Even if you had a mag problem, the bullet would not be set back into the brass if the loaded round has an adequate crimp.

they will fire ok.
I would NOT shoot these rounds as they are. Ammo is loaded at the factory to a specific over all length. Obiously, these rounds are not loaded to specifications. You have no idea what the chamber pressure will be if you shoot the ammo. It's possible the bullet sitting on top of the powder will lower or raise the chamber pressure? I don't know if anyone can tell you the answer to that. Consequently, what's to be gained by shooting the ammo anyway??
Contact the ammo maker and file a complaint. Maybe they'll send you some ammo or a rebate. Also contact the store where you bought the ammo so they're aware of the problem.

Yeah I wasn't planning on firing them. A few are so far back they're leaking gunpowder.
Ill probably shoot them an email over the weekend.
