re: What is the ob's opinion on dipping/chewing while in the stand?

I spit in a 20 oz soda bottle, screw on top. I hunt ladder/platform stands and box stands and haven't been busted by movement.

I dip Red Seal long cut wintergreen

I usually spit in a bottle if I have one. If not, I'll spit on the ground. Grizzly wintergreen.

My buddy shot a doe that walked right underneath his stand and started licking his Grizzly Wintergreen spit.

Spit & Piss in a bottle.

Kodiak Wintergreen or Snus if I am really in a bind with the wind.

Spit first. Piss later. Don't dip again that hunt

I dip copenhagen and spit it all down the side of the tree or on the ground. Never got busted for it that I know of with deer under the stand. As far as I can tell, they pay no mind to it as long as I don't spit in the water where it makes a really loud splash.

I've heard it works. But the dreams they say are out of control crazy

At the camp I stay at in clinton, we keep a settin fire burning the entire time because there's no other way to get out the cold. Of course, we smell like smoke every time we get in the stand. Still have deer walk right by and never look up. I'm sure they smell it but just don't care.
