Use to be a very busy place and all kinds of people posting and always new topics, now it’s mostly dead, even during hunting season. I was thinking maybe FB groups but imo those suck and it’s too hard to follow a subject and stuff is all over the place on FB, mostly subjects turn to shite once someone gets political or controversial. BB also use to have a damn good magazine that I had a subscription for. Did The Outdoor Board take it down by giving it too much competition In all seriousness I always felt it was a solid website and forum.

Well damn, seems they could have sold ad space to keep it going. Of course one of the great things about the magazine was there were few ads, mostly very good content.

Think it mostly went to shite when the guy running it went belly up and failed to fulfill several orders. No one could even get in touch with the guy at times.

Then there were the multiple times that the site went down for weeks at a time. The inability to log into the site from Tapatalk on mobile. The faithful just got tired of it and quit posting. Now most of the activity seems to be on the Turkey forum and it gets derailed by a few idiots who constantly argue about old school vs new school.

It was always a very seasonal board. The summer months had very little activity.

I miss the magazine. Got my first outdoor article published in that magazine.

I don’t think he made much off of it and the real world caught up. He has a full time job now with a big local company in addition to having young kids just doesn’t allow much time for bayou bucks. He is a good dude and I was proud of what he did accomplish with Bayou Bucks in it’s time.
