For me it's a swordfish. But a sword fish during the day. I've actually caught two swordfish in my life. Both at night and both in Venezuela. About 150 pounds and 200 pounds. Excitingbut not getting to see the beast until she was right beneath the boat was disappointing.
I've always wanted to catch a swordfish during the day. I've seen two in my life tailing under the light of the sun. Once off of South Pass and the other in Venezuela.
What fish do you want to catch

A 10 lb bass. I've caught 8s and 9s but never broke the 10 lb mark. Seems like the big ones have always got away or was 25 inches long and poor as a snake.
I hope to end my search in about 4 weeks on Toledo Bend.

Back to trolling I see.

With one of those hobie foot peddles you could troll a whole ballyhoo or split tail mullet at about 2 knots. Might be fast enough. Wonder if I could keep a 20lb blackfin up while foot peddling

This. If i could only catch one fish for the rest of my life and got to choose, this would be it. FYI: I do not know this person in the pic. I just pulled it off google for the pic of the fish.

Apparently there is one species of peacock bass in extreme south FL, but it is not the species that is prized. For that you would need to go to South America. This is as best as I know.
