Weekend Results...10/23 - 10/25

hunting fishing working round the house...post it
got to the camp Friday and got the work done then the rain came...
not bad but steady so didn't fish friday evening...
saturday morning found some fish in bayous off Chef Pass Lake Bourgne area...
ended up with 15 keeper trout...threw all of the white trout back..
sunday morning went out and found some birds working and caught 12 more keeper trout...threw a bunch back..
and a nice redfish..
then clean up and just got back in town...
all in all a nice weekend with my son...
almost forgot...saw a lot of ducks in the Bayou Sauvage WMA area...

Caught about 20 brown and rainbow trout up north. Enjoyed it but don't care to do it again.

Venice with my son, dad, friend and friends daughter. 30 bass, 3 redfish, 1 flounder on Saturday. Sunday morning 30-35 bass and 1 redfish.
Farad, son will be happy to hear about ducks in Bayou Sauvage. Coastal side south of 90 or east zone side north of 90?

Yup figured since it’s 17 years old, everything is going to start breaking. Will be better off with a new one l, and not pumping money into that one.

Weekend was full of obligations. But I am taking the kayak out tomorrow. Will update if I have a decent trip.

Have wanted to hunt that side, but its a 4-5 mile run from South Shore marina. Hunting out of a gheenoe with a 15 hp tiller so that is a long run. Doesn't look like there is any way to get any closer without trespassing and going over the levee...

Sunday morning "primitive" hunt resulted in seeing a coon that looked like a small bear.
Burned the rear end completely out of my Rancher in the La Delta gumbo. Front wheel drive only now.
Only bright spot was that my daughter got engaged to a great young man from New Iberia.
