Not asking for spots - Delacroix is my usual grounds but haven't been since January due to zero water and fish- how was the water, was it better on the Reggio side of the Bayou? Closer in or farther out? Thanks

Fished from 8-2 yesterday local lake. 23 keeper bass, largest around 2.5lbs. Probably caught 40. Water temps took a bigger dive than I thought it would from the snow. Found some 60 degree water back in a shallow cove and got on em. Most females had little sacs of eggs, snow pushed the spawn back for sure. Watermelon colored lizards.

Like a 4 leaf clover.
I have much more luck finding flounder over where you usually fish in Biloxi Marsh

Made the last two squirrel hunts of the season.
Saturday: Not the best killed 3 and a coon. Very cloudy day and the squirrels weren't moving.
Sunday: Best squirrel hunt I've ever been on. Took my dog out on 20 acres of land with a big group. Came home with 25 and probably let 12 get away from us.

I have never timed it right at Toledo. That may be the one trip that I want most that keeps eluding me.

we ran south looking for clean water. Didn't really find it. Water is still very low in the mornings

going back the weekend of March 13th and the sacalait should be on fire with over a week of +70 degree weather. they should be in 3-7' of water in coves. if not, check close to bank against structure

I get brain-lock over which coves. Any way to predict which ones they will use?
Posted on 3/1/21 at 10:50 am to AlxTgr
I typically fish the southern part of the lake

I used to. Every memorial day for 12 years. Killed them on a post spawn grass pattern. The grass died, and they never came back.

We did a rabbit hunt Saturday. It was so freaking hot, I wore short sleeves, and the briars had fun leaving their mark on me. 10 hunters (a couple of young sons), 8 dogs and 5 rabbits. Winner=rabbits. Looks like I should have been at Toledo throwing Roadrunners
