Looks like you are up in Jeems, no?

Yeah.

last couple of years with low water and grass it got tough to ease up there and get on them after the early season.

Yeah it chokes off quick and the salvania is gonna be bad this year.

Used to have two really good spots up there not too far from where your pics appear to be. Senkos against the trees and traps/spinnerbaits over the grass beds were always good for some nice fish, although I've never caught one as nice as yours.

clay, where would be a good landing or area for a kayaker to put in on Caddo?

I've only been up there once, and some old redneck ran us off and told us to never use his landing again. I'm assuming his was a relative of Motorboats.

Am I too late? This guy weighed in a 6.25 anyway.

On Jeems Bayou you could probably put in at either Shady Rest or Shady Acres next to the old Kool Point and be able to paddle out across the channel to fishable areas. Everything else on the LA side is going to be bigger water unless you get back on the Texas side.

Been using that same trap, but with not those results. Nice fish. Is that Caddo Lake?

Very nice fish an you gave up the bait too! I'm guessing you aren't one of those guys that wraps foil around his baits. Is that salvania floating?

Yeah. It's Caddo...

I haven't been wearing them out. I only caught 4 yesterday, but I had the big one, a 4 pounder, and 2 slot fish about 2.5 lbs. each.

The good ones are feeding up.
