5 Years ago I bought a pair of Frogg Togg stocking foot waders for fishing - they gave out on me after about a year. At the time I wasn't fishing nearly as much as I have the past 2 years so I feel like they should have lasted much longer.

If you're in the market for breathable light waders, I've had really good luck with Cabelas waders made from their DryPlus material. Lacrosse Swampfox is similar material as well. To me these types are clutch for south La where it might be 75 for one hunt then 30 the next morning. I just wear wader pants under them when it gets cold

I bought the expensive stuff for years, but none ever lasted more than a year and a half. I'd steer clear of Drake, as they lasted only about the first split.

Cabela's Northern Flight have served me really well. I also really like the one strap, vs. two. Helps my street cred.

Used to wear Macks until a couple of years ago when they jacked the price up. Switched to Game Winners and they've been great. Bought a pair of breathables and liked them so much I bought a pair of neoprene. In my opinion, they're just as good as the expensive ones, and when you have to buy a new pair it doesn't hurt as bad.

I've used the breathable Cabela's for the last 15 years or so, seem to get 3-5 years out of a set and then replace I'm pretty happy with that.

Yup. I wear game winner breathable pretty much year round - and that includes hunting in standing water in 21 degree weather last year up here in OK. Layer underneath and you're fine. They are 1000% easier to walk in than neoprenes. I wore my neoprenes once last year.

I used to wear Lacrosse years ago but the last pair I bought 10 or so years ago didn't last long at all so I've been using the Cabelas super mags and been very pleased with the performance and wear...
