Looking for suggestions Boat/Captain in Venice for a mid September offshore charter trip for 5-6 guys.

Also, what type of fish might be prevalent during this time of year.

Thanks

I know Calloway charters does inshore...not too sure about offshore...he is out of Venice Marina.

Late Aug/early Sept are when White Marlin show up....You can catch Tuna, Marlin, Dolphin and several other fish...depends if you want to troll or bottom fish

I don't have a captain recommendation, but if you aren't experienced in offshore fishing, I'd recomommend some type of bottom fishing trip where you'll catch snapper, amberjack, etc.....much more action for everyone than a bluewater trip...

My neighbor is trying to sell me on a six-man trip he has set up for Oct out of Venice. 5 days' fishing, lodging, food, etc. Apparently, they pick you up from the dock at the camp each morning and head out from there. Pretty much an all-inclusive tuna extravaganza. What should something like that run? He is quoting me what sounds like a low price. Not sure about the captain's name, but neighbor said it was a nice cat hull with twin 300's. What says the OB?

We went fishing out of venice yesterday and burned 130 gallons of fuel. Sometimes we burn over 200 gallons but we will sleep out there. The fuel costs$700-$1000/ day if you are making long runs. That trip will easily cost $2000/person, probably more though. And we only caught 2 dolphin yesterday
