Only two

When I was about 24 my lab's mom had cancer. She had the puppies and the vet told us she wasn't suffering. He said we should let her nurse the puppies as long as she could then bring her in to put her to sleep. The puppies had sucked her dry to skin and bones. My dad is old school and wouldn't pay to put her down. It was the day after Christmas, I went to the back and dug the hole, put her on the four wheeler and put her in her grave. I didn't have the balls back then to do the deed. Cried all the way to the front.
I think my dad had trouble euthanizing this dog knowing what she did to raise her pups as long as she did.

Two more than I have in the last few years

But we are catching a good bit of crawfish in the pond

Lots of tiny ones (falling through the holes in the traps size)

I've shot and cleaned plenty dogs. Never a lot of fun but that's part of being. At the top of the food chain

I'm not even a dog lover but when he looked at me as I aimed I was having second thoughts. But he had wounds from a car hit so it had to be done for his sake.

Between the dude claiming to call PETA and FEliciana yanking the hide off of the beagles, the OB may have crossed over some kind of fricked up OT boundary

Thanks for keeping my spirits up, I know I did the right thing but it wasn't easy.

I'll send y'all my bail information when that Tennessee fan sends PETA my way.

Just saying carrying wo a chambered round and doing anal without lube usually don't work out too well.

My old man told me he had a bird dog in college that had heartworms beyond treatment. Said it just so happened they were studying parasites in his anatomy class at LSU. Professor offered him an A for the heart. Said it wouldn't have bother him if the dog wouldn't have jumped in the truck just like he asked on the way to the pasture. Long story short, he cut it out and jarred it.

This is also the man who told my mom last week, referring to her lap dog "if you died today that dog would be in the ground before you." I have no reason not to believe him.

I bought the dog two years ago for 75 dollars. He turned out to be an awesome beagle that we hunted with 5-6 times a year. If it would've been my pet dog he would've gone to the vet. He will be missed but was not a "member" of my family.

Man... I'm sorry for the loss of your friend.
Farming is hard on the soul sometimes... good horses, good mules, good dogs don't deserve to suffer when their work is done.

This sounds crazy but onions can give K9's temporary paralysis. My Jack got into some onions at my in-laws when they were making chicken salad and he hid under the bed dragging his legs for about 18-24 hours.
