I will humbly submit that the OP brought his business to a public forum asking for input.

OP: Can you come over and do something about my neighbor's damn corgi that won't shut the hell up?

Because this country is slowly but surely turning into a bunch of weeping vaginas.

What do you mean grandstanding? I started this thread to find out what could be wrong with my dog. My dad wanted to shoot him yesterday. If the dog would still have been eating and showed any signs of improvement or stability, he was going to the vet. He was weak and doing worse.

I was trying to make a little light on the situation in joking about borrowing a dog for the weekend.

i'd never be able to shoot one of my own dogs but i have no right to tell someone what to do with their animals. that is as long as they arent abusing them

I had to shoot one for somebody. They asked me to cause they couldn't. It was really bad off. Not the easiest thing to do.

Sorry to hear that.

It was your damn dog and you made the call to have it put down. No hard feelings from me. If it was suffering then you did the right thing.

I agree, I'm not judging the OP at all. When my last dog's time was up, I took her to the vet and held her as the vet put her down. I'm so glad I did that. I don't have children, so my dogs are my children. I couldn't possibly shoot them myself, even though they might be suffering. I would have to have the vet give them a shot. Just seems more peaceful to me.

I offered to do this to my BILs rot that was suffering from bone cancer.

He would have let me but said that if my sister found out, she would never forgive me so he payed the vet $100 to have it put down.
