What code? Might the secondary air pump. Those things are a pain.

Yup. There was a recall for certain years

There are aftermarket secondary air pump bypass kits for around $200 that are pretty easy to install

Without knowing the code, it could be a list of things....INCLUDING the damn computer.

didn't see the code. 2018 with the 5.7 I Force.

Just traded my 2018 Platinum for a new 2022 but the fuel pump went out on the 2018 and it was covered by a recall. Took 4 months to get the new fuel pump in.

Happened on our Sequoia last year. Check engine and TRAC off lights were on in the dash. If it is the pump, it isn't cheap to replace. Similar circumstances, it won't accelerate like normal. We had a third car to drive and I was still working at home most days, so no big deal to get it fixed. But you can't drive it like that, I found it incredibly dangerous not to be able to accelerate.

Sounds like the famous Yota limp mode from secondary air pump. Lookup Hewitt bypass kit and install it and save ya 2k. It passes emissions in Cali so it'll pass wherever you are.

Exactly what it is. $3,000 and some change once they are done.

Spent about 30 minutes on the phone with Toyota. Bunch of robot customer service guys..... same answer over and over ... bottom line they know this is still an issue on their engines but since my VIN is not currently under a recall they refused to cover parts.
I can say this.... I'm DONE with Toyota. Not the company or the quality they used to be. (I'm sure no car companies are)

I thought yotes never break... thats what the yota fanbois tell me anyway.

They lied..... 3rd time in the shop on my 2018. My last Ford only made 1 trip and that was a factory recall on a hose.
Wanna guess what I'm going back to?

Another 5* from me. They overnighted it to me and I haven't had any issues.

If code is P302, then bank 2 ignition coil or spark plug.
