add a gravity feeder to the bottom of any 55 gal drum...I think even academy sells them.
Academy does carry them for 24.00

Well I would just convert one of my old feeder drums...take the motor and spin plate off the drum and screw the gravity feeder to the bottom...not very hard work.

3 or 4 inch PVC pipe with elbow at one end and cap on other, about 5 feet long. ratchet strap it to a tree, fill it up, profit!!!!

I have done this as well it works, just have to hope you live close enough to keep it full. It doesn't hold much.

Yeah, I have done that, but all my feeders are currently in operation. So, i would have to buy a feeder and then a conversion kit. Trying to just buy the feeder ready to go.

That's the problem. Trying to find something that will stay full for a while to keep the area as quiet as possible.
Also, hogs play holy havoc on those setups.

take a 55 gallon drum and cut 4 holes, 2 inches from the bottom of the barrel. holes need to be about 1 1/2 inches. now take some aluminum sheeting and make a cone. place the big end of the cone at the bottom of the barrel. now add 4 angle iron legs. when installing the barrel, make sure the holes are at the height of a deers head. ADD CORN. the down and outward force of the cone creates enough pressure so the corn doesn't continuously flow out. Each time a deer puts its mouth to the feeder a little bit will come out.

When I read this, all I see is "work, work, work, work, work"

Just to make myself clear: I want to order the feeder. I don't have the time to build one. I don't want to pay a ton, but don't mind paying some. My problem is that I am trying to find any available. Moultrie is on backorder and most of the others have delayed shipping.

55 gallon drum about $15 dollars from feed or hardware store. Cut 3 slits about 12" long evenly spaced around the perimeter of the barrel about 3 to 4" from the bottom. takes about 10 minutes to mark and cut with jig saw. Cave in the barrel about 3-4" at each slit haul to desired location and fill with corn every few weeks. Ain't no cheaper or easier solution than this.

OnTime has a protein feeder that you should be to find locally. It's called a Buckeye I believe.
ETA - Wildgame Innovations also has one called a Piledriver but I have no first hand experience with it.
