Looking to get a truck bed tent to start taking the kids camping. Anyone have one? Brands or options to look for/stay away from?

Will be for a Tundra btw

What is the appeal of these? Seems like it be a PIA if you wanted or needed to drive somewhere from your camping location.

Essentially looking for something to get the little ones (4 yo) into camping that’s easy to drive the truck to the site, camp and leave

Cheap to setup and hail shite.

Buy a circle cot.

Sooner or later, you’ll want to drive somewhere during a camping trip. The tent on the back would be a pain in the arse. Get a regular tent. That will allow you to leave camp set up and go do things.

Do you have a significant other or multiple kids? Cause they are only made to sleep 2 right? At most.

Had one. It is fine for 1 person. We have since moved to hammocks, which we all enjoy more than tents.
