Has anyone heard of reports around the Hopedale/Biloxi marsh area? I fished some bayous along black bay/grand point bay last weekend with no luck. Tons of bait but no moving water and not the best clarity.

I went last Saturday and intended to go to Comfort Island; there were storms out that way, so I stopped at White Log Lake and Caught a few. On the way in, I pulled into the Drum Hole and did really well. I was surprised, because Drum Hole is very shallow. The water was still high from the storms, and the tide was coming in. Two of us brought home over 30 using Matrix Lemonhead and Rattle Shrimp.

Nice job and I appreciate the report. I may actually end up fishing Delacroix because I will be limited to a duck boat this weekend. I figure I can get on some redfish if the trout arent cooperating.

Weather should be freaking nice this weekend. We haven't had any luck with perfect weather since the beginning of August when we limited on reds. Since then we've gone every other weekend and there's always been a system in the Gulf making it rough or rainy. Last time we went out was the weekend Beta was in the Gulf and it was pretty miserable. I did finally catch our first flounder of the summer. They've been hard to find in the Rigolets.

MS Sound was calm last weekend. We did well out of BSL and were back in time to clean boat and fish before LSU game.

I gonna be launching out of pointe aux chenes tomorrow. I have gone 3 times in the past 3 weeks and I have caught 11 bull reds and 100+ trout in the Terrebonne bay fishing the opening of bayous and on structure. All bull reds were caught on the falling tide using live pinfish or live shrimp. I've caught alot of trout on size 6 sabikis under birds and shrimp schools. They won't bite artificial unless there is a feeding frenzy these last 3 trips, so look for shrimp, or fish hitting on the surface. Or just drive around until you see a flock of birds diving into the water, cast under the birds with anything that has a hook and you'll have a great day. I was pulling 3-5 trout per cast on sabikis under the birds on Sunday. Unfortunately they were all 11-11.5" for the most part, specs and white trout. Still was fun as hell.
