Had a POS deer hunting on our family land. Sent word via his FIL to stop or we will bump it up a notch. Nephew and I were walking out the property one day and found his ground stand. Nephew took nice dump in the pouch of the POSs folding stool, we destroyed his blind, etc. and left a note that we found his blind by catching him on a trail camp (which wasn't true). No my knowledge this useless POS hasn't been back on our property.

Our property is landlocked. There was a boxstand on the old logging road driving in that I assumed had permission to hunt there. We were camping one weekend 15 year ago and a truck pulled up. It was the old lady that owns the land and her husband. I asked if anyone had permission to hunt their property and she said no. I asked if we could run them off and she gave us the ok.

I asked if we could put a gate up at the entrance from the main road and only she and I would have the combination. She offered to pay for 1/2 the cost and I told her no, if she’d continue to let us cross her property.

I put a posted sign on the boxstand that said if it wasn’t removed before deer season it would be removed for them. It was gone the next time I went there. It was a good thing to get to meet the old lady and her husband. She even showed us where a pond was located on their property and told us we were welcome to fish in it.

I walked up on them sitting in the stand and told them the sheriff was coming, and he was. The people who knowingly trespass only respond to calling the law. They’ll use the “I didn’t know this was across the line, I talked to so and so” as many times as you let them.

After losing several cameras, I put an old broken camera up just inside the gate to my property. In a tree about 20’ away I put a working cell camera pointed at the dummy.

It took only two days. As I was getting off work my phone pinged and I had several HD photos of a kid going through my gate and taking the dummy camera.

I posted his photo to FB and asked if anyone could ID him. Took about an hour and had a name. I pressed charges and about a month later I was sitting in the judges chambers with the kid and two deputies.

She made him pay for the camera he took. Even though it was broken she made him pay me $500. He acted like as arse and at one point tried to get up and leave after she told him to apologize to me. The deputies wouldn’t let him and he eventually offered up a half hearted apology.

Haven’t had any problems since.

Get cameras out and be ready to press charges.

Back in my day, it was easy to tag out quickly on bucks and does every season, turkey too.

Can't do that these days, too many damn security cameras.
