re: Trees down in the canal...who cuts them?

a friend with a camp at the end of a canal at French Settlement (Livingston/Ascension Parish?)has a tree down in the canal. Yesterday, He mentioned he called the Homeland Security office for the parish and was advised "Thanks for calling, we get FEMA money to remove trees in public navigable canals."

Hopefully, HS does more than collect FEMA $$$ and has the tree removed.

Sounds like you should have 10-12 neighbors willing to help if they wanna ride the boat. Cut into 10 foot stick and drag it out with a truck. Clean up the small stuff later
