Kioti CK2620 HST

I bought this exact tractor with the intent of cranking the fuel regulator up to increase HP, since these are basically a mechanical version of the 35hp engines without the required emissions for anything over 25hp. I haven't felt the need to crank it up yet, but I rarely use the PTO, as I mostly use the hydraulics which is the same system and hydraulic power as the 35hp models, which I have no complaints. It's been a great tractor.

JD and Kubota are the two best tractors on the market. My neighbor bought a 50 hp Kioti a few years ago. It has been a solid tractor for him.

Whatever you buy, make sure you get it with a front-end loader bucket. It is the handiest thing you can put on a tractor

Look up Red Dirt Tractors in Alexandria, La. They have some awesome sales going on right now on Mahindra's. We have a compact Mahindra 35hp 4x4 w/loader that we use exactly like you are describing in Clinton on 10ac. I would say its virtually bulletproof.

How long have you had it?
Really looking at this model and reading about them on various forums. People seem to like them.

I have a 2025 TYM 2400H (Branson) 25 hp that I paid less than $20K for - with loader, backhoe grapple and third function valve. I use it to feed my saw mill mainly and it will easily lift a 20 inch in diameter pine tree 16 feet long (most log charts say that log would weigh about 1200 pounds) the height of the FEL (about 5 feet) and travel with it easily at idle speed. I asked a lot of tractor owners about this before hand and almost everyone of them told me it would take a 35 HP tractor at least and 40 would of course be better. Many of them told me NO compact or subcompact tractor would ever do what I needed. They were, of course wrong. It is not even taxing the tractor. the rated capacity for the loader is almost 1300 pounds with the loader bucket....I suspect my grapple weighs about the same as the loader bucket. It doesn't even grunt when I lift that size log. I would think 26 would be more than enough to do what you want to do. With appropriate sized implements - like a 4 foot box blade instead of a 6 foot one. Of course it would be nice to have 35 or more HP but it is also nice to keep $10k or more in the bank.....

Man tractor prices are enough to make me gag. Everything else as well of course.

Drives me nuts how much a full size tractor costs now. I'm not a fan of compacts. I like a tractor to be heavy and wide. I miss the days when a normal cheap full size tractor (Massey Ferguson 250) was an option.

I just want a damn plain affordable 2wd 40hp tractor

I was in the market for nearly a year. I handled about 25K BF of SYP last year by hand. Thats a lot for a young man with a full time job....its tooooooooo much for an old fat man LOL. I was constantly suffering from sticker shock. Like everyone I wanted a green one or an orange one. I couldn't see paying $15K more for my color of choice however. After doing a LOT of research I concluded that ALL of them are serviceable and, unless it is going to run 3-8 hours a day 5-7 days a week all of them will last a long time with some attention to how you use it and maintain it.

I’ve had several neighbors buy tractors in MS and fall for the MS dealers BS about the 1.5% farm tax. MS dealers (especially parish tractor) will say anything to get the deal. However, what people don’t realize, is the state of LA tracks all purchases through UCC filings. Every couple of years the crunch the data and charge you use tax and penalties for buying in MS. It’s not worth it.

I’m going to have a 2022 Kubota 3301 with 150 hours on it for sale shortly. Loader on it already.
