GP100 and Speed Six are your likely answers, here.

I have an SP101 that I really like a lot. I prefer it to the GP100.

I do, too, but it doesn't really fit the bill for a classic 4" revolver - 5-shot pretty much knocks it out.

Unfortunately, the SP101 may get knocked out by the success of the LCR - although it is a much more shootable revolver.

So they copied a feature and made improvements to it.

The S&W DA action is inferior to the old v-spring Colt DA action IMO.

- The Colt cylinder turns clockwise which pushes the cylinder / crane into the frame, not away like the S&W.
- The 2 stage hand on the Colt locks the cylinder into perfect alignment with the bore when the trigger is pulled (zero cylinder movement).
- The Colt cylinder latch design allows the shooter to press his thumb against it steading the gun during off-hand shooting.

Other folks prefer Smiths. More power to them.

Not arguing with you there. I like smiths but they're definitely not the most robust on the market. The improvements I was talking about were on the antiques. Colt is superior, but they don't want to make anymore for us. :(

They are old-fashioned, but I still like wheel guns.

I have an old S&W that is made like a Swiss watch.
