I can do a lot more with money than with the ammo that's been sitting in a drybox in my closet for 2 years.
I like my odds never needing a big supply of ammo.
I just want to be able to walk into any place that sells ammo when I want to go shoot some and buy a brick or less of .22 like I could when I got the gun in 2011. Is that too much to ask?
I also think that a lot of people hoard ammo now because it's "cool"
I don't understand why all of a sudden now everyone has to buy so much ammo now since sandy hook. And don't tell me Obama, because I could go by ammo as I pleased up until sandy hook happened.
But I digress. Yea I guess I'm mad. Yea I'm poor. Yes I have too much faith in the system. Whatever.

I am 36 years old and never thought I would see the day that one could not purchase 22LR ammo over the counter. I have a one year old son that will have plenty of ammo when he is able to shoot them. You never know what the future holds. Life has taught me many things over the last year or so. One of those is that a man can never have too much ammo.

I refuse to stock up on .22
So I guess these 300 I have left from a couple years ago better last me a while

Should have told his azz that if he had been in line earlier instead of shoveling 4 biscuits down his fatazz throat at Hardee's he'd have gotten the ammo he wanted.

Next time you get the urge to give away money, give it to me.

Because purchasing ammo to keep is the same thing?

Or manufacturers could supply more?
Or people could break the cycle by not buying everything that comes into the store?

A couple months ago at Academy, I bought 4 boxes of 9mm ammo. When I went to check out, the fatass redneck behind loudly complained to his buddy that the reason there wasn't any ammo was because of hoarders like me. It was the first time in over a year that I had purchased ammo from a store.
Four boxes of 9mm ammo is ONE trip to the range. I understand not needing tons of .270 for your bolt gun, but hundreds of rounds isn't much if you're talking pistol or AR shooting.
Edit-I actually have exactly 100 rounds of .270.

He said he didn't need it. Maybe I should take the hippy angle.
"Instead of converting your money into arms, perhaps you should convert it into good vibes."
By giving it to me.

Turns out I bought 1,000 bullets only. Not the actual rounds, but just the fricking bullets.
Therefore, I also bought a lot of ammo I didn't need today.

I live off of student loans, it'd be unwise to spend the little I have on something that I may shoot 50 or less of a year and will just sit in a closet. Other things I'd rather do with it.
And when I was working when sandy hook happened I was spending too much on booze and road trips and the like to want to overpay for ammo that I wasn't gonna use.
I just don't see any reason why ammo shouldn't be as easy to find in stores as it was before by now.
ETA I also don't shoot much at all. I have a shotgun, rifle, muzzleloader and .22 pistol as a sidearm for hunting. I don't really have anyguns that I don't use for hunting. My dad is the same way. Hell he still doesn't have any kind of pistol. I just wasn't raised to be a big gun/ammo guy other than what was practical, just buy what we need when we need it. Not sure if that's good or bad thing but it is what it is.
