If you live in Mandeville, which I believe you do. Try Marsh & Bayou on 190, they had a sale on their sunglasses the other day.

I used to dump hundreds on Oakleys and Costas, but then one day I realized they were basically a disposable resource with the way I treated them. Between tubing, boating, and drunken escapades, I rarely held on to them for longer than a few months. Now I buy cheap Amazon polarized stuff.

A few years ago I came across a brand of prescription sunglasses called Breakline. I tried them out and have been buying them ever since. I think I’m on my fifth or sixth pair. They have an unbeatable warranty and are priced really well for prescription sunglasses. Lotta folks don’t know about them but I figured I’d spread the word a little bit.

Costa's polarization technology claims to block harmful yellow light in the 600 nanometer range. Do any of the other companies have similar filters or are they all different?

Paying $200-300 for a pair of sunglasses is insane. Calcutta Catalina's....$26.00. New pair every two or three years.

12 years ago I stopped wearing seeing glasses and switched to contacts so I could buy a good pair of sunglasses. I'm in construction so I sweat alot and deteriorated the rubber nose pads. I called Smith and they sent replacements at no charge - no big deal just nose pads. Fast forward to now and after having switched back to seeing glasses I bought a pair of Smith Pinpoint prescription sunglasses. Not alot of places in B'ham to try on Smiths but found a pair of Pinpoints at Alabama Outdoors to try on and felt good. Ordered online. Arrived in a couple of weeks. I chose Smith for the prescription sunglasses because their website shows how much of a curvature each pair has, from 4 (almost flat) to 9 (hard wrap around). I have astigmatism so I couldn't wear the hard wrap arounds, screws with your eyes. So far so good.

I like WileyX that has been mentioned but I wear hobies, they are $40-$50 at Costco and fit my fat head. I wanted to like Maui Jims but they don't fit my wide head, I had the same problem with lots of Oakley's even when I was a dealer and got cheap demos I couldn't wear most of them.

Native is supposed to be the bargain brand of Costas. Mine seem fine.

I cant get away from Costa, partially because I can't find anywhere to try anything on and I can't find anything that fits my tiny arse head better than the brine frames

I like Revos. Better lenses.
