Impacted means they're in there sideways, partially erupted, etc. So you have to incise and maybe remove some bone to get to em. From the sound of it yours are erupted, just have a huge cavity that's caused an infection.

I had IV as well. I remember trying to get in my dads truck afterwards, felt like 3 seconds of surgery to me. Apparently it was an hour.
