Any comments, experiences, etc. with this pistol in 9mm, 40 or 45?

I have one I carry most days. It is a good gun, it's a Glock. Bonus, if you are left handed, you can switch the magazine release to the other side of the gun.

A Glock 23 is a 40, but the Glock 19 is the 9mm in the same frame size. I personally would go with a Glock 19. Probably my favorite gun I own.

Another vote for the 19.

Wouldn't personally get a .40 but I'm sure it's a decent gun. I prefer a G26 with G19 mags and these grip sleeves.

You can find lots of different guns in .40 on the cheap right now because the caliber has fallen out of favor with LE and they are being dumped on the market.

Without getting into a caliber debate, realize that the .40 in many loadings is a pretty snappy round and is harder to shoot as quickly as a 9mm. Nothing wrong with it one way or the other though and I like the round. I have a 23, I have a 19 and I don't see a huge difference.

One thing that is important though, the .40 was an attempt to shoehorn a larger caliber into a 9mm size frame. There is plenty of data out there showing that if you shoot a LOT of rounds the .40 tears the gun up faster. Higher slide velocities, more force on the frame, etc. But this is usually only seen in agency guns that are shooting thousands upon thousands of rounds and doesn't tend to be an issue with personal guns.
