How much production will I lose from the orange tree and what is the value of a 10 year old 12' tall tree? Any idea?

Both are a guess but from the pic, looks to my you will lose at least 60% on production. That sucks and the idiot cut it exactly opposite of what people cut citrus. If anything you top it so they are easy to pick.

Price is hard to say because I've never seen one near that size or age for sale. I bought a 10 yr old live oak last week that would require less care to grow because of cold and overall heartiness of tree for $800. Thats a low end number and I paid 800 at wholesale price from the grower. I sold it retail for 2k planted.
Hope this helps but this is a very unique situation and hard to put a price on it. I will be happy to put a price estimate in writing though if that helps.

What is the least expensive, pretty, fast growing shade tree?

good idea, I have a small magnolia that is growing up through an azalea in my yard. I want to transplant the magnolia to another spot in my yard. When is the best time to do this? The magnolia is about 2.5 ft tall right now.

sorry but 2 months ago. End of Oct. or first of Nov is the best time to get the roots time to re-establish themselves before growing season.

Tulip Poplar, fast growing with big leaves for heavy shade, but they drop heavy of course too.

What is the biggest you can get ahold of, I am in desperate need for a shade tree, I have a bad setup to get heavy equip into my backyard. Can get a small pickup back there, but that is about it.

I think I could shoot a truck thru the breezeway in front of my garage, but would need to pull the mirrors in
