I blow Haydels and like them very much however I have been having the itch to get a lil something more. Was thinking a Hobo or Riceland but heard the RL duck calls aren't that good. Dont need anything crazy, dont want to spend anymore that 70$, thinking of getting a Hobo hunter. Any other brands yal would recommend taking a look at?

I would recommend an echo diamond wood timber. Wood barrell with poly insert double reed. It is a nice timber call on the cheap $50 I believe. But the maker of hobo calls came from echo so they are basically the same calls.

What are you hunting? Fields or timber?

Would rather a smaller call maker, a local would be great hence why I was thinking of a RL. If they made their duck calls like their speck call I would be set.

Riceland Custom Calls makes a badass poly speck call. They are $75.
I'm in the market for a new duck call too. Thinking about getting a Zink call, not sure which one though...

Run through Clarendon and pick one up from my uncle, you wont be dissappointed. Although his are going for $100-150, its handmade, dual zone (timber/field), and will tune it on the spot any time.

Was going to recommend Echo, but they are probably bigger than you are wanting.
