Thinking of getting a new Honda Foreman. I think I want a base model without power steering or electric shift but could be convinced otherwise.

Want something to put put around the property, pull the mower out when it gets stuck, haul the garbage to the road, just generally yard tasks.

Also possibly looking at some trail riding and camping trips around LA MS and TX. Not looking to win the bounty holes at Mud National by no means.

I think something like the small Ranger would be better suited, but I really want the open air of a fourwheeler.

Where should I shop for one? I’ve looked online at Friendly, Covington, and Brookhaven but nothing really stood out.

Would also be looking at getting a small utility trailer to haul it. Something simple and light. Do the dealership typically offer trailers too, or is that something I should get ahead of time?

Thanks!

Yamaha Grizzly EPS FI. once you have the power steering and fuel injected you'll never want anything else.

As a guy who loves his ranger, the small ranger is a huge pile of shite.

If you get the Foreman get the power steering, you would not regret it. As for the ES model, that’s personal preference. I never cared for them and I’ve had them and worked on them.

As X said, stay away from the small Rangers.

Definitely get Power steering. I got miy foreman in 2017 when it was somewhat new , all my friends were skeptical and did not get the power steering. Now everytime they use my bike , they regret not getting it.

I don’t remember what it cost to repair the power steering unit, but i remember it being relatively cheap at the time. I never had an issue though.

I also got mine at Brookhaven, was an easy, fast, cheap sale. I called ahead of time and everything was ready when i got there. Took probably 15 minutes to get it alll done. I don’t recall them having any trailers, but could be wrong.

I'd go with a Yamaha Banshee.

Dealers usually dont have trailers for you to buy (though that would probably be lucrative), so plan to bring your own. Get vehicle specs off the net to ensure you buy trailer of right size ahead of time.

Have used ProPull and Mike Geralds here in the BR area, pretty similar trailers of comparable quality. Be sure to shop around for the bike and dont be afraid to go out of state.

I have an outlander with power steering and after having it, I’ll never own another 4 wheeler without it. Definitely go the power steering route. You’ll never regret that decision.
My trailer is a 5x10 I believe. It’s the perfect size for 1 bike, small and light. I can move it around the yard by hand if I need to or hook it to my 4 wheeler and pull it with ease. A 4x8 will also work for a stock bike, which is what I had but when I put mud tires on my bike it made it too wide so I had to go to a 5’ wide trailer.
