Bought a set just to set up a table. They worked.

When the fall session is announced I want to participate if there is room for one more builder. Seems like a great skill to learn and pass down.

I'm pretty sure CD got his set...he took pictures of them from his phone late yesterday...I could be wrong, so I won't say it's for sure...would have to wait for CD to affirm one way or another...

any pics of a finished bow?

Hey Wick. It was Pepperidge and DaHammer that didn't have any. I was just asking if u had more for them.
If u can have Choupique send 2 sets to the address I sent u I'll give them to Pepp and Hammer when we get together to finish ours.

I don't think any bows are finished yet... Still need more planing, sanding and a few pieces of wood added....

Pepperidge, you know that's a lie...
He was complaining after holding up the maul as backing for you to hit the center nails.
I'm pretty stiff still.

Hammer said he'd have one soon to. Looks like I don't need to buy one yet to get my boat done between the two of you!

Me too!
My legs mostly. My back, which always hurts me, is surprisingly feeling well... Must be those 30 lbs I dropped.

Fish --- YGM
I am late to the summary party. I want to echo everyone else by saying that this was a great weekend. Fish invited my entire family not only to his house to learn but into his house to stay. They showed us true southern hospitality. I could not have asked for more. Mrs. Fish cooked some mighty fine food for us, made sure we had all we needed, and even washed and folded a load of my boys excessively muddy clothes.
Although, I have lots of wood working experience, I learned a lot from Fish. Some things just require years of experience to pick up. The understanding of how it all fits together and how each step is important to make a stronger, more stable, more efficient, vessel was particularly great.
Thank you so much Fish and Family. Yall really are good people.
Pepp I have to admit I envied your son's involvement. He is a fine young man and it is wonderful that he was so dedicated to the build. I never heard him utter a word of complaint. I never saw him wandering off to play video games or sit in the shade. Heck, I'm not sure I even saw him stop to eat drink or go the bathroom.
I was hoping my oldest would have wanted to do more with me but I suppose he is still a bit young. I know the mud was too attractive to those young boys.
eng08, I am not sure it was mentioned you were an inspiration to others also.
For those that don't already know my drive back was adventurous also. My oldest was not feeling well and about 20 min from Fish's house he had an exorcist moment of projectile vomiting from the backseat of my 2 week old truck so forceful it hit the windshield in front of the steering wheel. This of course happened in the middle of the downpour in between towns. It took me a solid hour to clean it all out of the truck as best as possible, redress the boy, dry myself off and get back on the road. Kids- what you gonna do.
I have lots of pics and a full video recording of all of the Fish teaching moments. I will get the photos up here soon and the video edited and available soon.

What an awesome thread this is....I'm not sure what else to say, other than if this kind of event is ever done again I will damn sure be in attendance. I haven't been on TD for all that long, but I know this is one of the most awesome things I've seen. Bravo, fish! Looks like one helluva time was had by all.
