I don't think I said it wouldn't work?
What I meant was that most people spending 3 grand or more will likely reload, especially those buying a highend bolt gun.
By using an ar10 style mag it limits the reloader to making sure their ammo fits the magazine and feeds well. If they would have used the AI style magazine it allows the loaders and factory rounds to be loaded longer increases case capacity and lets the loader choose whether they want to jam the bullet or back it off, whatever shows the best accuracy. For instance, your AR10 oal yielded horrible accuracy in my old gun. I ended up starting at 2.83" which wouldn't even come close to fitting in the AR10 magazine. And that was just the starting point. Overtime I could increase the oal to chase the lands and keep the highest accuracy my rifle would give.
Its just my opinion on one aspect of the rifle that I don't like. I don't think you'll find a bolt gun guy that disagrees with me when they find out it runs AR10 mags.

Nah, the AR mags were a miss.
I mistook "SR mags" for Surgeon Rifle

Any more updates Carson?
Between switching out barrels will it return to zero for each or you have to sight it in every time?
