SpeckledTiger, I fished your second favorite place to kayak fish and got skunked on Reds. Got in on a slack tide and couldn't get them to bite. Saw several rolling and threw redfish magic spinners, live shrimp, spoons, and deadly dudley's at them.

Next time if you see the rolling repeatedly in one spot, put on a soft plastic with a straight tail and rip it through the area with two or three hard motions. I've fished that situation in that area a few times before and this technique can sometimes get you a reaction bite or two.
That bar is the only place that I know of that the people are more shady around breakfast time than they are at closing time.
