I’ve never had a Hobie bag but pretty sure a AO 24, hell maybe even a 36 would fit
I can try the 36 when I get home.

Let me know if the 36 fits. 17" length on the AO 24 seems like it would be a little smaller than I'd like for fitting redfish. Hobie bag is 24" length.

Let me see what No8 says about whether the AO 36 fits inside the hatch first. If that one doesn't fit, then how much you looking to sell the Hobie bag for and are you ever passing through NOLA/Northshore?

I thought there was a flyfishing thread but I figured this would be a good one to post in-
I've got some flyfishing gear that I got on trade and never ended up using it. Would be interested in selling as a package. Not even sure the value- if interested in the lot, email me with an offer. Can send pics later today
Orvis Clearwater 4 piece rod in case (think its 8wt). Like new
Orvis Clearwater? 2 piece rod in case with Orvis Access? Reel in 5wt
Fish pond backpack with several boxes of various flies, jigs, tools, etc.

Wife's family is in Metairie so we're in the NOLA area pretty often.

Thanks. Hatch lid closes ok with it in there? Probably go this route since the AO is half the price and can be used better in and out of the kayak
ETA: thanks for info YOURADHERE

No worries man, I’ll be the first to tell you the AO out performs the Hobie bag by a mile. I’m going to clean it up and go drop it at Pack and Paddle for the garage sale.

It’s not even a hobie bag. The company that makes that bag sells to different companies that tag their name on it. You can buy the bag straight from the manufacturer, but I agree AO is much better quality

Anyone fishing the BCKFC redfish rumble Saturday? Last weekend of teal season and some birds are finally down.
Posted on 9/25/19 at 11:24 am to TheCurmudgeon
Yeah. Right now about 41 signed up. I’d imagine if will be close to 60 by Friday. Told everyone fishing in well known areas for duck hunting not to put in at first light.

Headed to Grand Isle this weekend. Latest intel seems to be reds in the marsh and trout are showing up pretty good behind the island. That sound about right?
Posted on 10/1/19 at 9:38 am to stoms
pretty much
they still have some trout on the jetties in the pass, so im sure the rocks behind the island still have a few also
cold front (if it ever shows up) should really get them moving into the fall pattern even better
im excited
