Where would you take the PDL for service?

Mine doesn't break so I wouldn't know

Pack and Paddle and Ship to Shore are both Old Town dealers. But their customer service is A+ and you can send them a video of the issue. Depending on what it is they will ship you a new drive and pay for your other one to be sent back to Old Town.

And if your PDL drive never breaks, why is it a problem??

+10000. They have a sub 1% failure rate on the PDL drives and they give it a 5 year warranty. The only thing that may go wrong is you break a shear pin or your prop which are easily replaced yourself for less than $5.

1st day of vacation at san luis pass. Caught 6 different species today as we didnt quite mop up but got a mess to fry up. Sand trout, specks, redfish, puppy drum, flounder, and some kind of slimy arse disgusting eel. Water clarity was top notch. Launching the surf this evening gonna try to catch some sharks. Gonna have the go pro rolling and try to make a video

Do we have any Jackson guys in here so we can turn this triple threat match into a fatal four way?

Paging LSUSON

I’d choose an Old Town PDL over a Jackson if I had to choose between the two. PDL drive is smooooth

Jackson does have the best idea if they can improve the drive and steering. Love the idea of the drive kicking up.

My drive kicks up. You're not required to engage the rear holder clip. I never do.

The new 2 blade drive on the FD’s is smooth. I’ve never tested an Old Town. Loaded down with gear I can still hover around 4.2mph. If the Old Town is better more power to it. That’s what I like about Jackson, they are constantly improving their gear. Just upgraded my rudder as well for tighter turns.

I have a 2018 CruiseFD for my son/wife and it has the 3 blade, can you just swap the prop out or is it a completely different setup?
I had the 2 blade on my Radar and it was very smooth
that 3 blade just feels different IMO

Yes. Just get an Allen wrench. Unscrew and put the new blade on. I have an extra new 2 blade prop if you need one.

Nice.... Interesting approach that Native is taking with the sneak peaks.

They reveal at some other event mentioned earlier in here. I had never heard of it before this year. It's coming up.

I Googled the kayak and there was a picture of it, but it got deleted. Looks like a slimmer version of the Titan 12.

Those pics make me wonder if the max 125 is a different model. I posted to imgur.
