Cool if you’re into outbacks, but in that price range, I’d take a lightly used PA12 Over that any day.
Alx has already placed his pre-order... that baw is some kinda pumped.

I told someone earlier I wouldn’t be surprised if they eventually offer a Special Edition Compass with the 180 drive, maybe some special colors, and some add on and price it around the $2450 mark that the Outback used to occupy.

The new 2019 Hobie Outback
It looks like they have added a drop down rudder like the PA and the Compass, added gear tracks and a tackle management system into the gunnels and made it dual sided steering. They also made the rectangle hatch a stock item.
Same length and width as the old outbacks but a bit of weight got added to it (now 103 lbs).

I'm sure it will certainly help stability. I like it, will I buy one, highly doubtful.
I do like that longways center hatch that opens away from you. I already installed the center hatch in my Compass but would prefer the door to open away like that one.

It's actually 8" longer and 1" wider. 103 lbs is the loaded weight which is only 4lbs heavier than the previous.

Nope, same guy. I think the other guy said he sold it to him for $800. Looks like he added a cheap cart and T Bone bed extender, that's it. Sounds like he bought it thinking it was worth way more than he paid and just wanted to flip it.
